Nothing here is investment advice

No article on this site is investment advice, financial advice or trading advice, and none of it is a recommendation to buy, to sell or to hold anything. Nothing here is guidance for a reader's own circumstances. The site quotes no price target, states no view on what any asset is worth, and makes no forecast about what anything will do next.

That is not a lawyer's sentence bolted onto an opinion site. It is a description of what the writing actually does. Every piece is about a period that has already finished, written with hindsight the people involved did not have, and the recurring finding is that the people closest to an event usually could not read it correctly at the time. Anyone who took that seriously would be slower to make a prediction, not quicker.

No professional designation is claimed

The author is not a Chartered Professional Accountant, is not a Chartered Accountant, is not a Certified Public Accountant and is not a Chartered Financial Analyst. He holds no accounting designation and no analyst designation of any kind, and nothing on this site should be read as claiming one. He is a consultant, which is the accurate word.

He is also not acting as anybody's adviser, agent or fiduciary by publishing this, and reading it creates no professional relationship of any sort.

The history is checked, and it is still history

Every factual claim on this site is meant to be traceable to a source a reader can open, and where a claim is contested the contest is named rather than resolved. That is a standard, not a guarantee. Primary sources in this subject disappear, get edited, and are sometimes wrong in the first place, and a piece written carefully today can be superseded by a document that surfaces later.

If something here is wrong, the correction is worth more than the original. It gets made on the page, with the change noted, rather than quietly.

No tax guidance appears here, deliberately

This site does not write about what anybody owes anyone. That subject belongs tokhaledhawari.ca, which is the author's practice and covers it properly. The separation is enforced by the build rather than by memory: a verifier fails the build if the vocabulary appears on this domain at all.
